FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW WILL MY EYEBROWS &LIPS LOOK LIKE?

Perrie begins each appointment by discussing her client's desired look and needs before measuring and sketching out the placement of the eyebrows and lips. Measuring brow placement is a multi-step process that begins by determining the center of the face and the set of the client's eyes. The starting point, arch, and ending point are determined by whether the eyes are normal, close-set, or wide-set. The artist sketches out the full brow with the appropriate thickness and arch height to give the client a good idea of what the finished brows will look like. It can be then customised and changed according to the client’s desires. and set the outline for the microblading. 3D Effect can be added by smooth shading (Machine shading) over spin and between the hair strokes to visually give the dimension of natural eyebrow thickness without any sharp contours on the eyebrows.

Same time and efforts are taken into consideration before drawing lips and deciding appropriate lip colour for the client. Often the colours are mixed to get the customised unique colour for each and every client.

CAN I SELECT THE COLOUR FOR MY NEW EYEBROWS AND LIPS?

We will select a pigment that is flattering for your complexion and existing hair colour for your brows. For lips, if you apply any particular lipstick then it is advisable to bring that in with you to get the closest shade. You are welcome to alter the colour suggested a shade either side. A patch test of the colour is provided for you to approve before we begin.

HOW LONG WILL THEY LAST?

The eyebrow and lip tattoo procedure is a semi-permanent tattoo. Like all tattoos, microblading and lip blush tattoo can fade, depending on multiple factors, including quality of pigment/ink used, UV exposure, elements found in skincare products, medications. The treatment lasts from one to two years. A touch-up session is encouraged 6 weeks after the first cosmetic tattoo procedure for the tattoo to last long and every 12-36 months thereafter.

IS THIS PROCEDURE PAINFUL?

A Topical anaesthetic is applied during the treatment to avoid discomfort for the client. However the client have to get the anaesthetic from the recommended pharmacy. By law we cannot apply anaesthetic unless it has been prescribed to “YOU”. You cannot share anaesthetic with other person or bring any other over the counter products.

HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE?

The procedure takes about 1.5 - 2.5 hours including consultation and brow and lip mapping. You may also need a perfection visit (Touch up session ) after 6 weeks as you loose 30% - 40% of pigment initially and after Touch up session you loose 10% of the pigment thus having the final and finished eyebrows and lips.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO HAVE TOUCH UP SESSION?

Cosmetic tattoo is a two-step process. Two appointments are necessary to implant the correct amount of pigment for long-lasting brows. In the first appointment, a shape is established, colours are selected and pigment is inserted. Each client responds differently throughout the treatment and during the healing process. It is impossible to expect same results from every client. Some clients may bleed more than others and some may have thinner skin that others. We work according with an end point in mind to keep the integrity of you skin intact as priority. This may mean some work may need less passes or strokes to be added at a later stage. The second appointment is to reinforce the pigment and to fill any areas where colour did not take as well, adjust the colour (if necessary) or fix any symmetry that you may be concerned about. As the name suggests, we perfect that as you mean to go on.

HOW MANY TOUCH UP SESSIONS DO I REQUIRE?

Ideally it is recommended to have at least one touch up session. However sometimes it can be more depending upon your skin type, pigment retention by your body, aftercare procedure and many other factors.

I HAVE ALOPECIA. AM I SUITABLE FOR THIS PROCEDURE? WHICH ONE?

Tattooing can be a great solution for alopecia but it isn’t right for everyone. Your alopecia may be temporary or you may not like the thought of something that is considered to be permanent. If this strikes a chord with you, Microblading or Combination Brows could well be the ideal solution. I offer all and will be happy to discuss the pros and cons of each with you.

As you can see, Microblading achieves fantastic, natural results that are semi-permanent. This means that over time, you can change the style, shape or colour to suit your look. The procedure is relatively pain free and can be completed from start to finish in a matter of a few hours. If you’re suffering from alopecia and would like to find out how this treatment can work for you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch for a free, informal chat.

I HAVE OLD TATTOO WHICH NEEDS CORRECTION. CAN WE STILL GO AHEAD WITH THIS PROCEDURE?

If you’re previously tattooed, please contact us before booking due to colour correction or removal might be required prior the actual requested service. We do provide non laser tattoo removal procedure which can be further discussed upon consultation appointment. More information about non laser Tattoo Removal is in our next page.

WHAT IS THE AFTERCARE?

Aftercare kit will be given to you which needs to be applied at least 3 times in a day.

. Avoid excessive wetting your eyebrows for 10 days.

. Gently clean the tattooed area with mild and gentle cleanser.

. Avoid make up in eyebrow area.

. Avoid direct sun

. Avoid swimming, exercising or sauna to avoid sweating.

. Do not pick at the scab or flaking. This will pull chunks of pigment off.

. Inserted pigment is very dark during the first 7 days but will lose up to 10-40% of its intensity. If you think that pigment is too dark, do not try to fade it by yourself. Be patient, first wait for 7 days until it fades away naturally.

. Strictly no other creams or cleansers or oils as this can remove pigment and change pigment tone.

TATTOO REMOVAL

Tattoo removal has been performed with various tools since the start of tattooing. While tattoos are generally considered permanent, it is now possible to remove them with treatments, fully or partially. There can be many reasons for Tattoo Removal like Brow Tattoo changed to red/ blue or grey, not happy with the shape , two totally different brow shape or just for a change to try a new tattoo design at the same spot, etc.

There are various ways in the market for Tattoo removal like Laser, Microdermabrasion and many more. However all the methods has its own pros and cons.

Laser Tattoo breaks down the ink molecules in your tattoo into smaller pieces and allows them to be absorbed into the bloodstream where your body will then flush it out of your system causing the ink to disappear. Unlike a laser pointer that produces a continuous beam of light, tattoo removal lasers produce pulses of light energy. Each pulse of energy penetrates the skin and is absorbed by the tattoo ink. As the tattoo ink particles absorb the energy, they heat up and then shatter into tiny fragments. Laser tattoo removal typically does involve some level of pain.

Laser is an aggressive treatment for use on facial features; the delicate skin of the lips and eyeliner should be considered a ‘no go’ area or very high risk.

Laser removal is by far the most popular option for body art removal and laser removal machines are designed for treating large areas of body art.

We use saline treatment which is non laser and non invasive. A special liquid remover consisting of Glycolic acid, salt and Aloe Vera is used to get rid of unwanted tattoos. In this procedure the acid breaks down the pigment and salt helps to bring it to the surface. So if the old pigment is deposited too deep then it might take multiple sessions to get rid of it. Initially after session , the pigment might appear dark for few days as the pigment floats to the surface. It can take up to 12 sessions depending on the depth and the place of the tattoo.

Dry Healing is the best aftercare.

Prices start from $99 (Original Price is $129).
